Lo Hong Ka's online store does not grade by the width of a little girl's finger, but instead divides edible bird's nests (dried whole nests) into the following three grades. Since Lo Hong Ka's bird's nests are all natural, the actual figures may vary from those below, so they are for reference only:
. Lo Hong Ka "Premium" whole bird's nests: approximately 60-70 nests per 500 grams, meaning each nest is about 7-8.5 grams.
. Lo Hong Ka "Special Grade" whole bird's nests: approximately 65-75 nests per 500 grams, meaning each nest is about 6.5-7.5 grams.
. Lo Hong Ka "Selected Grade" whole bird's nests: approximately 70-80 nests per 500 grams, meaning each nest is about 6-7 grams.
Lo Hong Ka also grades not just by size, but also by color, nest shape, impurities, and expansion rate, as follows:

Many friends have the same question: why are larger bird's nests more expensive?
1. Gifting needs
When exchanging gifts, the gifts should appear grand and beautiful. Premium or special grade nests are clearly more impressive and beautiful than selected grade nests. Premium grade nests are even more meticulously selected, representing the finest among bird's nests. They are not only grand but also rare, naturally making them more expensive.
2. Scarcity drives value
If you have visited swiftlet farms in Malaysia and Indonesia, you would know that the number of raw bird's nests of premium grade size is relatively small. Coupled with damage during logistics and transportation, the quantity of premium grade nests is significantly small.
3. Processing loss
Due to the unique nature of bird's nests, they must be meticulously hand-picked for feathers. This greatly reduces the "survival rate" of premium grade nests. For example, raw nests with a lot of feathers essentially cannot be processed into premium grade nests.
4. Bird's nest content
Although the nutritional value is the same, larger nests indicate that the swiftlet had abundant saliva secretion when building the nest. This means their quality is relatively better compared to smaller nests built when the swiftlet's saliva secretion was insufficient.
