In traditional Chinese medicine, goji berries are believed to strengthen the liver and kidneys, and nourish essence and qi. Modern scientific research also indicates that goji berries contain a large amount of antioxidants, possessing strong anti-aging effects.
Ingredient List
Osmanthus 7.5g
Goji berries 5g
Bird's Nest 20g
Water 650ml
Rock Sugar 80g
Gelatin 40g
Step One
Soak osmanthus and goji berries separately for about 10-12 minutes.
Step Two
Filter the osmanthus tea, then add other ingredients and cook together. Finally, add gelatin and stir gently over low heat until the osmanthus cake mixture is complete.
Step Three
Pour half of the osmanthus cake mixture into a mold and refrigerate for 1 hour to form the first layer of osmanthus cake. Place bird's nest and osmanthus on top of the first layer. Pour the remaining osmanthus cake mixture over it, then gently stir to mix evenly. This will be the second layer of osmanthus cake.
Step Four
Refrigerate the osmanthus cake for 3 to 4 hours until set.
Lo Hong Ka's Thoughtful Tips
As gelatin is not heat-resistant, it is recommended to let the osmanthus liquid cool slightly before adding it, then mix it gently with the liquid over low heat.
During refrigeration, while the osmanthus cake is in a semi-solid state, you can gently stir it to prevent the ingredients from settling to the bottom.
